Probability snail race

For the last couple of weeks, we in room 20 have been working on probability. Today for maths we played a game called probability snail race. All of the snails Have different numbers up to 12. You roll two dice and add both of the numbers up and whatever it adds up to gets to move forward one space. The three that get to the finish line first get points and you keep on playing to see who gets the most points. It is a really fun game. After we played we figured out the maths behind it this is my tree diagram that shows all the possible outcomes.
I figured out that the 3 most likely to win were 7, 8, 9. 7 has a 25% chance, 8 has a 14% chance and 9 has a 11% chance. the numbers that won in our two games were 1st 10, 2nd 7, 3rd 6 and then 1st 7, 2nd 9, 3rd 3.

Ordering decimals blog post

Yesterday we learnt how to order decimals up to three decimal places on a number line. Hannah, Sofia & I went outside and made a massive number line along the seats with the  cards that miss Pitt gave us. We accurately put fraction, percenta
ge, decimal & picture cards in order. Here are some photos;
